Connecting You to Yourself, Empowering You for Life.
I know that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, and finding the right counsellor is an important part of that process. My aim is to offer a warm, welcoming, and supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and talking about whatever is on your mind.
I am an integrative counsellor with a Gestalt core approach. In simple terms, this means I don't believe there is a single way of working that suits everyone. Instead, I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs, drawing on different therapeutic methods while keeping our work together focused on your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
My journey to becoming a counsellor grew from both my professional and personal experiences. Having worked in the public sector for many years, I discovered a natural ability to connect with people, listen with empathy, and offer support during difficult times. Alongside this, my own struggles and life challenges led me to begin my own counselling journey. Experiencing the power of being truly heard, understood, and supported had a profound impact on me. It was through this experience that I realised my path forward was to help others in the same way.

I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be truly heard without judgement. Building a genuine, trusting relationship is at the heart of my work, creating a safe environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, experiencing relationship difficulties, coping with loss, or facing changes in your life, counselling can provide a space to make sense of what is happening and help you move forward with greater understanding, self-awareness, and confidence.
Wherever you are on your journey, you don't have to navigate it alone. I would be honoured to walk alongside you and support you towards the changes you would like to make in your life.
As an integrative counsellor with a Gestalt core approach, I believe that increasing awareness can help us better understand ourselves, our relationships, and the challenges we face. Gestalt therapy focuses on the "here and now"—bringing attention to what is happening in the present moment, rather than only looking at the past. By exploring your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and experiences as they arise, we can begin to develop a deeper understanding of what may be holding you back.
Sometimes we can find ourselves repeating familiar patterns, feeling stuck, or experiencing an internal conflict between different parts of ourselves. In Gestalt therapy, these are often referred to as polarities—different aspects of ourselves that may seem to pull us in opposite directions. Together, we can gently explore these patterns and conflicts, helping you gain insight, find balance, and create new possibilities for change.
I also enjoy working creatively, as I understand that talking alone is not always the easiest way to express thoughts, feelings, or experiences. Creative methods can offer a different perspective and help bring awareness to emotions that may be difficult to put into words.
Depending on your needs and preferences, I may incorporate creative resources such as therapy cards, sand tray work, drawing, writing, pens and paper, imagery, and other experiential exercises. These tools can help you explore your experiences in a visual, practical, and meaningful way, often revealing insights that might otherwise remain hidden.
There is never any expectation to use creative approaches if they do not feel right for you. Our work together will always be guided by what feels comfortable, helpful, and relevant to your individual journey.
